1 Instrument Overview: 

FJ-45WF-2 Water and Food Contamination Radioactive Detector is a water and food contamination radioactive monitoring instrument based on a sodium iodide (low potassium) detector. Used to measure the specific activity of 137Cs and 131I radioactive isotopes in food and water (including various beverages), it is an ideal instrument for rapid detection of radioactive contamination levels in food or water by households, enterprises, shopping malls, inspection and quarantine, disease control, environmental protection and other institutions..

The probe of this instrument uses highly sensitive sodium iodide scintillation crystals with a crystal size of 45mm * 70mm. Fast operation, accurate measurement, and high sensitivity. This instrument is lightweight, beautiful, highly reliable, equipped with a high pixel and environmentally friendly LCD color display screen. The human-machine interaction is simple and convenient, making it easy for workers to carry around and perform real-time target detection. It has been widely applied in relevant departments of radiation monitoring and protection, providing reliable technical support and decision-making contributions for national counter-terrorism and nuclear emergency, nuclear power plants, customs and exit inspection and quarantine.


2 Main Performance and Technical Parameters

3 Construction and Working Principle:

FJ-45WF-2 Water and Food Nuclear Radiation Detection Analyzer, due to its lightweight design, integrates detectors, rechargeable batteries, complex and large electronic components, and liquid crystal displays inside. The main accessories of the equipment department include external power adapters, exquisite instrument packaging boxes, and a set of user manuals.


3.1 Overall assembly structure:

This equipment is powered by batteries during normal operation. After running out of power, an external adapter can be used to charge the equipment. The schematic diagram of the final assembly is shown in the following figure:


3.2 Host Structure:

This instrument has high integration, and as long as its built-in battery is fully charged, it can complete measurement and analysis tasks such as dose rate/activity measurement, gamma spectroscopy measurement, and nuclide analysis. NaI detectors are used for both low radiation dose measurement and gamma spectrum measurement in the environment. The main function of electronic components is to digitize the nuclear pulse signal output by the detector, convert it into amplitude spectrum data, and use it for upper level analysis software. The front panel of the instrument mainly has four buttons: left button, confirm button, right button, and on/off button; LCD screens are used to display the working status, measurement data, and other information of instruments. The aviation interface on the side panel includes USB communication data interface and external power adapter interface.


3.2.1 Power adapter and power interface:

The lithium battery power charger uses 220V/50Hz AC power to charge the built-in rechargeable battery of the spectrometer. When starting up and charging, it is recommended that users remove the charger when using the spectrometer for energy spectrum measurement.


3.2.2 Precautions for Power Supply System:

After each startup, the battery level icon should be observed first. If the battery icon shows an empty state, a power adapter should be used to power the instrument and charge the built-in rechargeable battery for 4 to 6 hours. After the built-in rechargeable battery is fully charged, it can provide the instrument with normal operation for about 10 hours.

After 2-3 years of operation (under normal circumstances), if the built-in rechargeable battery cannot be charged or the amount charged each time is too small, causing the instrument to not function properly, the rechargeable battery needs to be replaced; If the system time cannot be set properly or there is an error time, it is necessary to replace the button battery powered by the system clock. If you need to replace the built-in battery, please contact the after-sales service center of the instrument for assistance. Do not open or replace the battery without authorization during the warranty period.
